Apex signs agreement for Burragorang gas exploration

Apex Energy NL has signed an agreement with Burragorang Valley Coal Pty Ltd for the exploration and potential exploitation of gas from within its coal lease (CCL740) in the Burragorang region south west of Sydney. This coal lease is adjacent to Apex's existing Petroleum Exploration Licence 454 and is a significant addition to the exploration area. Apex Energy already has agreements with other coal operators in the Illawarra region taking Apex's gas tenures and other interests to almost 500 square kilometres with a an estimated gas in place (GIP) of approaching 2500 billion cubic feet (bcf) and a current estimated 1400 Petajoules (PJ) of contingent gas from within the Illawarra coal measures.
